Have I been scammed?

A colleage at work asked me if i could sell a digibox for a friend of hers. I sold it to a guy who had 100% feedback and it is genuine. The purchase amount was £40.00 and he paid via paypal.
The goods were send to an address in Bucks and he confirmed recipt and working order by giving me good feedback.
This was Oct 06.
My paypal email address I dont have access to so when I won a shirt on ebay i logged in to find my account has a negative £47 balance (inc £7.00 chargeback fee)
The case has been closed and all i can muster is the transaction was unauthorised.
However, the address I sent it to was confirmed and he has sold stuff recently with an item location in Amersham, near to where i sent the goods, and from his feedback record everything looks good i.e. no apparant scams.
I have emailed this guy to enquire about the chargeback on 01 March, but it seems all a bit strange to me. Paypal is deffo not a place to transact business and cleared funds never are cleared funds!
Any guidance and help?

Have you emailed Paypal to ask why they have charged back after so long ? I thought you only had 45 days or something to raise a chargeback .Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .
Thomas came home after 3 months and 2 days in hospital weighing 5lb 15ozs
Thomas weighed 21lb 4ozs on his 1st birthday , a total weight gain of 18lbs 5ozs !

Surely you would have received emails from PayPal if a chargeback had taken place.TBeckett100 wrote:My paypal email address I dont have access to so when I won a shirt on ebay i logged in...

the email domain i used does not exist as i didnt re-register the domain. However, i have done some detective work and his relations live at the address so providing it was received, which it was due to feedback and there is a link to the address, the small claims route looks viable.0
