British Gas...which Tariff?
I'm a Dual Fule customer with British Gas, I'm happy with the services they provide and don't want to switch provider.
I pay my bills quarterly by inputting my meter readings on their website and then paying the bill they e-mail to me.
Today when I went on their website to pay my bill I noticed all the different tariffs they have. I'm currently on their standard tariff but could not get my head around all the other tariffs they do
Can anyone here tell me if there's a tariff I'd be better off on?? I'm so clueless with it all and would love it if I could save some money.
I did notice they provide an Energy Monitor...which I think you get free if you change to a certain tariff? Any advice would be most welcome.
Thanks.

Put your annual kWh usage for each fuel into a comparison site and look to see which BG tariff comes up first in the list of suppliers you could use.
You'll almost certainly find a BG tariff cheaper than their standard one. I wouldn't bother changing to a tariff just because you'd get a free energy monitor, unless it was also the cheapest tariff. You can always buy a monitor if you really want one - with the money you'd save by being on a cheaper tariff!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Since standard tariff is always the most expensive, any other tariff would save you money, even with BG.
If you insist on quartely billing then you are screening out the best tariffs though-most of the cheapest online discount tariffs require monthly DD billing.
There is no 'cheapest' tariff, it depends on kWh usage and region. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
