Tumble Dryer location query

I am looking at buying a tumble dryer. Originally wanted to put it in the garage as I have no suitable space in the kitchen but was told there would be issues with the temperature in the garage and the machine not working.

Anyway I have a space in the understairs cupboard and was wondering if anyone has their tumble dryer in there or something similar? If so are there any issues I should be aware of? It has a door on it but I would leave it open when dryer was in use.

I have my condensing TD in a cupboard, it's the only space I have for it! I haven't had any issues and it's been in there for 5 years now. Just make sure it has enough ventilation by leaving the door open and it should be fine.

Thanks. Did/Do you store anything in the cupboard with the tumble dryer?

same here - has been for 6 years, even with the really cold winter we had 2 years ago. No issues.

I still might put it in the garage but wanted to make sure if that was not possible I would have alternative location.

I have a condenser dryer in a cupboard too, no problems. Other bits and pieces live there too.

Is it going to be a condenser type? In a garage you could easily use a vented model if the garage has an outside wall.

Either way, I don't see the location causing a problem.
