No reply to informal appeal

I received a parking ticket last weekend and have sent an informal appeal via e-mail. I have not yet received a reply. Should I continue to wait or try another approach?

To whom did you appeal ? Private or Council ?0

+1, not quite enough info.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Who issued the ticket.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
How long do the council have to reply to an informal representation?
As I was wrongly issued a ticket on 21st July this year, I made an informal representation on the 1st August, by presenting the penalty charge and parking ticket receipt in person at the council office.
It has taken them until today to reply stating the fine has been upheld.
I am not paying as I still had 30 mins left on my ticket issued. This was presented to the council and yet they still say the fine stands?
I am furious at this!!!
Surely they must have a timescale in which they have to make contact with you, over 3 months down the line is extreme when they give you just a 14 day deadline in which to pay?0 -
Jucee, please start your own thread , it gets confusing trying to answer two different queries in the same thread.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Same as on jucee84's own thread, see Orford's answer:

You are being very hopeful to expect a reply this month, let alone this week! And it will be a rejection anyway (informal appeals are almost always rejected as a blanket 'computer-says-no' response).
See the advice on that linked thread and take it to pepipoo when you get your standard rejection template rubbish. Most people win who take the appeal further (no the bribe discount will no longer be available but they would say that wouldn't they...don't base your decision of whether to pay or appeal, on the discount).
See you on pepipoo in due course when you get a rejection.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
