Things turn up in odd places. I have said this before, I have sacks delivered by RM for my collection service. I've found all sorts inside sacks which are supposed to be empty. Letters, parcels and even a football!
I could have kept them all.0 -
Contact Parcel Force and see if they can see a parcel in their system to that person's address and tell them which Post Office you sent it from. They may well be able to give you the tracking info from that.
If it is not Parcel Force then ask them if they can ask at their local sorting office if they are aware of any backlog or if they have the parcel and for some reason the postie has forgotten to pop a card through. This happens all the time in my experience.0 -

Parcelforce & RM don't really interact
I would have had no idea what was going on at the PF depot, and they wouldnt have a clue whats going on at an RM dept.0 -
Ask the buyer to ask at their local post office. As parcelforce now leave parcels at local post offices, after leaving a 'we tried to deliver, but there was no one home' card. The local post office then keeps the parcel for 10-14 days (unless collected by the recipient) before returning it to parcelforce, who will then return to sender, provided there is a return address.
It's very likey to be at their local post office, (NOT the sorting office).
As you know their address, you could always google their local post office to get the phone number and phone them up to see if they are holding a parcel for mr/mrs xxxx at xxxxx address.
You won't need a tracking number for this, and if it's at the post office and your buyer hasn't recieved a 'we tried to deliver' card, just tell them to take some form of ID with them to collect.
Hope this helps0 -
I'm not sure that the Post office scheme is Nation wide though. My parcel Force items have to be collected from the Parcel Force office , not my local post office.
My local mail centre has a notice on the door that directs people to Parcel force and says something like 'if you have a card like 'this' then you need to go to Parcel Force to collect your item and you will find the office 'here'I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. it varies with PF. I have no idea of the criteria as to when they leave with a PO.
Back in the day I had people for DHL,Yodel etc coming t the RM depot
folks coming to top up gas cards and much more0 -
It's got to be wortha try though, and op said it had a return address on the parcel so the parcel should eventually be returned to the seller.
Our PO (Cheshire) accepts most parcels from parcelforce, although if driver decides they are extremely heavy/large items then they go back to the depot.0
