Help! Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M series - random keys not working...

Anyone experienced anything like this?
New laptop - bought yesterday. Random keys do not work unless you preceed them with another - for example, 'm' will only work if you type 'n' first, 'p' if you type 'o' before it, and 1 if you type 2...
Very odd! Been Googling for a while, but can't come up with anything obvious... Drivers seem OK...

You can go to "Control Panel" and check keyboard settings are "English UK." should be under language settings i think.0
