Family fund

The charity family fund help families with disabled children providing washing machines, cookers, haven holidays etc really helping to ease the pressure on already challenging lives. They had been using Comet gift cards for parents to purchase items they are clearly desperate for and with the whole administration drama it looks as if alot of families will be left with nothing after the family fund kindly helped them.

Obviously the family fund doesnt have an unlimited amount of money so these families will have to wait a year before they can reapply, families with a child with incontinence problems left without washing machines that Comets failing to deliver adding.

They help my son and I cannot fault them for the help they provide, they helped me get on the road and pass my driving test, something I could never of done otherwise.

They have started a 'justgiving' page and maybe the families desparing about the next 12 months might get some happy ending... :j

Latest update from the Family Fund is that families who have received Comet gift cards via them , are now being allowed to use them.

Yeah up until the end of the month I believe, though some people used the card and were told on the delivery date the item was no longer in stock so either tough or given a worthless store voucher back
