Paypal Debit Card for the UK?

I was was just wondering: do Paypal offer a debit card for use with your account (spending, ATM withdrawal, etc.) for the UK?

I believe that they offered them some time ago, and then withdrew them. Does anyone know if they're currently issuing them?

    Thanks, everyone.

    I think I'll apply.

For those that have one, do you find it useful? What have your experiences been like using one? Can it be used in the same way as a standard 'pre-pay' debit card?

    Thanks

I use it in the same way as my bank debit card....had no problems, don't have to worry about transferring money from paypal to bank and with each payment I get an email. This may seem unimportant but I once made a payment to monsoon online and they took another payment by mistake and I knew straight away because of the paypal email so sorted it out same day. Had I used my other card I wouldn't have realised until I got my statement

I think they're invitation only. If you have had an invitation for one I don't see why you wouldn't take them up, it costs nothing, you don't have to use it but it could come in handy.
    .
  • I got one a couple of weeks ago.
It's worked fine apart from trying to pay my Tesco credit card bill with it. After checking the card details three times, their automated system informed me that they didn't recognise that suppliers card and clicked off. Didn't even ask if I wanted to use a different card.
  • I've used mine for about a year now. I find it less useful now that my Paypal funds can be transferred to my bank account instantly - but I still use it.

I would say that it is a bit glitchy though, mine has been declined a few times (so good to have a back up)! and a couple of times payment has been taken twice - then refunded the following day. Apparently it's the way some merchants process payments at the till according to Paypal (??!)

CS is very good at sorting out any problems and you get instant emails so you can keep a close check on it wherever you are.
