How do I get my money back from EON & T-Mobile?

Hello, I recently swapped my accounts from these providers and was outside of any contract periods. Once I resigned the accounts, both sent me letter stating that I have credit balances. Both under £10 each.

However, I have found it's virtually impossible to get either EON or T-mobile to answer the phone or even an email to give me my cash back. I have even tweeted directly onto their Twitter 'Help' account and main account and still they ignore me.

The sum due isn't the problem. It's the fact they purposely attempt to evade repayment. I'm just one customer representing two accounts at this point. Imagine the scale of customer funds they are sitting on hoping that we don't request our money back.

Has anyone been successful recovering their own money?

In the case of Eon, did you just move out of the property or did you change suppliers?
If it is the latter you will get a final bill several weeks after the change of supplier has occured.
If it is the former they will send you a final bill and then refund any credit.
If you pay by DD they will typically credit any credit any monies back to the bank account the DD is drawn on.

When I was with Eon, they sent me a cheque for the closing balance of the final bill shortly thereafter.
(I didn't pay by DD, but ended up in credit due to an earlier overestimated meter reading ) :)

    Hi Savemecash

I'm sorry you've had so many problems contacting us.

Refunds on closed accounts are usually sent out approx 2 weeks after the closing date.

Sometimes delays occur if the account closes to estimated meter readings. This is because we'll wait to see if actual readings are received later.

Did your account close to estimated or actual readings?

Which E.ON twitter sign did you use? Always best to use @eonhelp when contacting us this way.

I do know we're up to date with replies coming through @eonhelp. If you let me know the twitter name used and time you tweeted, I'll find out what happened.

Drop an email to the address in my Profile if you prefer.
