Freeview box used in France

I'm going to buy a freeview box for the caravan. Apparently it works pretty well in good reception areas with the status aerial. I know that UK tellies don't work in France 'cos we're PAL and they're something else (is that the right way round?) But as the freeview box is a digital system, will it get euro digital signals while abroad, or are they preset to receive UK channels?
Any techie boffins know the answer? I know that uk digital radios don't get euro radio so I'm not too hopeful

All of Europe is PAL, so that isn't an issue, but Freeview is terrestrial, so you won't be able to pick it up in France. Possibly the French have their own terrestrial network, but it'll only have French telly on it if they do.0

France uses SECAM, so unless your box supports that it wouldnt work...0
