If you have a Waitrose near you, it's worth checking in there - I keep seeing the Heston ones reduced to 45p a pack of 6 from £2odd.

I think the fact that they are advertised as pine scented or something seems to be putting people off - I read on one blog that they remind the writer of the smell of disenfectant! But the smell comes from a sachet of pine scented sugar included in the box & you don't have to use it.

They are square shaped & all-butter puff pastry.
  • I think 60p is reasonably cheap. Sainsbury's were selling mince pies for 82p a couple of months ago.

The pine sugar ones were quite nice, the ones with tangerine flavoured sugar im not as keen on.

I got a free mini mince pie with my Abel & Cole order this morning.. mmm.. it was doubly welcome as now I don't have to break into the box I'd bought to try one ;) (12 organic for 4.99)
  • Current cheapest otherwise appear to be the Co-op's for 80p.

And Mr Kiplings mince pies are currently on BOGOF at Tesco's for £1.80 until 26/11/2012 making them 90p each, you can also get one box of six for 89p at Morrisons as well.

M&S luxuary mince pies half price £1.24 they may not be the cheapest but they are the best acording to my mum. She will never go back to any other since trying them in store tasting. I dont like mince pies so cant say.
  • Asda have their own ones at £1 for 6 which seems pricey, but they have big packs of 12 for £1.50. Thought they taste just fine - I have been trialling them ahead of Christmas.
