Help with Tivo and Freeview

Options
I need some advice for my mum. She had a tv, a set top freeview box and a tivo and VHS recorder all connected up and working fine. She has now bought a Samsung LCD TV with an inbuilt freeview system - however the tivo does not seem to pick up any of the freeview channels.

If I understand correctly the old set up had the ariel into the freeview box which was then conencted to the tivo which was then connected to the TV. Now its the ariel into the Tivo with connection into the new tv which has the built in freeview. Any ideas how to get the freeview channels to work on the Tivo other that keeping her set top box?

The new TV with the built in Freeview doesn't output anything other than what you are watching, and then it is only via a Scart or similar.
You're feeding the Tivo just the main TV feed before it goes through a decoder so there is no way it can record it.
You'll need to leave the old Freeview box in place & be happy that you can now record one Freeview channel [from the seperate box] & watch a totally different one on the new TV.
