EXPIRED Amazon Black Friday Deals Thread

I had a lola rose bracelet in my basket at reduced price of £11.69...but at the end of checkout it was £19.99...i canceled my order...surely the reduced price should show up at the end of the transaction?...I didnt want to continue in case i got charged the full amount,but worried ive now done the wrong thing by canceling..any ideas?

Boooo! I had the chopping boards in my basket and they were removed when i went to checkout. I wasn't logged in - could this be why???

Oh well £21 saved! Gutted though:sad:.

It did the same for me with the River Cottage book, but the discounted price does come up when you click to the next page, HTH x

Not yet though it was quite well disguised by the packaging

It depends on the browser and the size of your screen. Firefox shows 5 items at a time for me, Internet Explorer/Chrome/Safari show 4.

If you want to see more at a time, make sure your browser is maximised. Then click on ctrl and - (minus key) at the same time - this will make the whole browser display smaller and more offers should display at a time.

This will make your Add to Basket button smaller though. You can make the display bigger again using ctrl and plus.

I am struggling to see most of this as anything more than an electronic jumble sale so far. Yet people seem to be getting really excited, maybe I'm not looking at the right page. I click on Black Friday, then see a line of stuff with a countdown...surely that isn't it?

And, whilst I am on a bit of a role. Why are selfish people clicking things that they don't want? Maybe, and again I could simply be missing this, maybe the point is to see who can be quickest with the click, then amass a load of stuff to look at at the end of the day? To then decide that you didn't really want it anyway....

How come there is such a gap between 6pm and 7pm....maybe I really am missing something? Help...

Thanks CandyLucy..I think ive done the right thing by canceling then,because the reduced price didnt appear even after my transaction was completed..I had to go into my account,then open orders to cancel(it was still showing as £19.99 there). x
Just checked my Emails..Amazon order confirming price at £19.99 for both the confirmation order and the cancellation one....wonder why the reduced price didnt apply???

Sorry to butt in, does anyone know how long it usually takes when you exchange Nectar points for Amazon codes? Redemmed one yesterday and no email yet, although on my transaction it says completed.

You only get 15 mins to checkout, if you don't the item is offered to those on the waitlist.
