Changes to Child Benefit

I'm in the 50k to 60k salary bracket.
Regarding the changes to child benefit I'm assuming the income figure of 50k includes salary, savings interest etc.
Is the tax free personal allowance taken off my salary for self assessment purposes?
i.e. if I earn 52k is the personal allowance of £8105 taken off this hence taking my taxable salary down to 44k. This would mean I would continue to get full child benefit.

No. It's taxable income before the allowance is taken off. Consider shoving £2k into a pension, pension contributions will reduce your income for this.Is the tax free personal allowance taken off my salary for self assessment purposes?
