I currently use BT option one and I also get my broadband provided by BT, I dont make very many calls from my landline and most of these are in the evening.
Is BT the best provider available for my situation?

Keep your line rental with BT but use Primus Saver for Free E&W Calls to 01/02 numbers.

Don't forget to make 6 chargeable calls per quarters via BT though if you want to keep (nearly) free Caller Display.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

BT Together Option 1, paid by DD and paper-free billing = £10.75/month incl. VAT.
Primus Saver Option 2, paid by DD = £0.00/month for free UK 01/02 calls of up to 90 minutes each evening and at weekends.
See the 'HERE' link in my signature below for the rest ......Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Thanks for that Heinz
I have recently set up a monthly DD with BT, although I used to get paper bills quartly. Will I still be able to view how much my phone bill was per quarter and look at the breakdown of the bill i.e. what charges were attributed to calls and what the VAT was etc.0 -
