I wonder how long we will have to wait for these to hit the UK market.

    May be a fair while, debit MasterCard hasn't really taken off here. The article does say that Visa has a version as well, so no doubt we'll see some kind of implementation.

    Indeed, although MasterCard did have a press release in the summer saying that they would push to get more banks issuing debit mastercards in the UK.
  • It will be some time.... I was given a test one about 6 years ago so they're not exactly steaming ahead

    The visa version was first disclosed in 2011, so allowing 2 years for testing, maybe we'll see some in big parts of the UK (ie, London) towards the end of next year?
