Just searching for a product.
Thought I would investigate a site , where it was offered, a little bit.
Whoisthis only revealed the details as "WhoisGuard" protected.

I haven't seen this before. I take it is someway of hiding yourself but just wonder if anyone had seen it before?

Yeah its used a lot.
If its a personal website fair enough, but a business I would think is a bit dodgy0 -
Usually used by individuals or sole traders, wouldnt expect ltd companys and plc to use0

Any website that is selling something needs to comply with the Distance Selling Regulations, which requires sellers (inter alia) to supply their identity, address, geographical address of the place of business for complaints etc. So there would be no point in hiding behind WhoisGuard unless you had no intention of complying with the law and did have something to hide.0
