DGS/rpp/dd help

Hi there could you please advice,i have been making a payment since 2002 to a company called domestic & general thought it was to do with my mortgage as it came out the same day for the past 10 years thought it was a life insurance that i set up but it has nothing to do with it. shows up on my bank statement as DGS/RPP/DD been in contact with bank and canceled it been in contact with the company i have never set this payment up do not have any paperwork for it?do you think i have any chance of getting my money back the bank said they will be back in touch within five days?will i have to go to the bank ombudsman,any help or advise would be great,feel so stupid as i am normally so on the ball

    They are not a life assurance company so it wont be life assurance.

    Typically, they do extended warranties for various retailers.

    You cant claim money back willy nilly. You have been making the choice to pay this. If you feel the sale of the product was wrong then you can complain to the firm that sold it to you. DomGen did not sell it to you so they do not have to refund anything.

    Unless the bank sold it to you then you wouldnt complain to the bank. If you have an issue with it then you need to complain to whoever sold you it.
