Although Speedtest tells me my speed is a constant 2.3Mbps it can take up to 40secs to load it's webpage.

Some websites open very fast and other take an age to load.

This has only started happening in the last week.

It happens with a fixed ethernet connection or via wireless.

My router is a Netgear DG834GT.

Can anyone help? Thanks

I have a secured wireless N network and usually get up to 8mbs. Using Firefox latest beta on TT.

I have noticed slow loading over the last 3/4 days.

Loading mseforum via google for instance, but several others. The dialogue showing in the left bottom of screen ajax.google.apis

    Speedtest.net reveals < 5mbs but I wouldn't expect that to be problem.

Do you have an example of a page that loads slowly and a page that loads quickly?

Yes this one http://www.speedtest.net/ I have just tried it again and it took over 40 secs to load completely.

    No it's different browsers.

The OH is complaining pages don't load properly on her Ipad (Safari via wireless) and the same is happening to a Ethernet desktop connection using Opera and Chrome!

A quick goggle suggests it might be the router. Any ideas how to test it or is the only solution replacing it?
