Hi All,
Im off to Malaysia at the the of the month and was looking to buy a PS3 from out there. I was just wondering if there would be any disadvantage from doing this?
Would is be best to buy a UK spec machine or one from over there?
Thanks to all in advance

Thanks for the advice. Had a few friends who went there and said it was cheaper for electronics. This was 2 or so years ago. Will keep that in mind.0

eletronics aren't cheap in Malaysia.
I would buy from eBay. :rotfl:
Try Singapore. You can claim back the tax from the airport as well.
My friend managed to get a Sony laptop there and claim it is cheaper than UK.
Personally I believe electronics in Singapore is cheaper than Malaysia.0 -
Hi. DVD's are region coded. So a player bought in a Region 1 area will not play Region 2 DVD's etc. I believe the situation is the same with Blu Ray discs.
PS1 and 2 games are also all region coded. So you will not be able to play UK PS1 or 2 games on an Asian market PS3.
PS3 games themselves are region free, so I'm led to believe, so you should be able to play any PS3 games on it.0
