I'm not sure whether our TV needs a Freeview box or perhaps some form of hard disc recorder to enable rewind and recording of programmes. It's a 32" Alba HD ready, a couple of years old and receives all the free to air channels via a rooftop aerial. Thanks.
This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !

If you want Rewind, Record etc. you're looking at PVR - Personal Video Recording - functionality. Your TV will not include this; you'll need an external PVR.0

Any Humax Freeview PVR will do the job, the basic choice you need to make is between SD and HD versions.
Your TV already contains a Freeview tuner, what is needed is the hard drive recorder (the PVR's come with twin tuners). No free lunch, and no free laptop

Humax isn't the only box to do this.
It may be one of the best but also one of the more expensive.
