Waitrose
All you have to do is solve our prize crossword in this week's issue of Waitrose Weekend, and the shaded squares will spell out the prize word, which is something that could describe a wine.
1. Mellow
2. Smooth
3. Fruity
4. Bright
If anyone notices a change in prize (from the magazine or website) could you please let me know?
Please scroll down to #8 to thank janie123 for providing the answer.
I PM'd barty1 but haven't heart back yet, hope she's ok
Direct Entry
Searched: waitrose & both comp pages.

I used to be a sommelier and i would really only use 'FRUITY' out of those 4 words to describe wines to clients.
I could be wrong and dont have the mag, but Ive gone with fruity - as Mellow isnt how you would describe any wine really more for coffee.
Bright - Ive never heard a wine described as bright.
And finally Smooth although wines can be smooth again its not a known term that would be used in describing taste.
Its up to yourselves but FRUITY is the only memory i have out of those 4 words in 2 years at college..(that was 20 years ago but i dont think things would change that much when describing wines)
Good luck and if you win - send me some karma please xStill comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0 -
