Best / Cheaper to buy Lego before of after Christmas on EBay????

I would love to purchase a large amount of Lego Technic for my son. I can purchase before or after Christmas as we already have his Christmas present bought.

When is the best time to get deals for children Lego? Do parents clear out toys before Christmas so their is more to buy on eBay before Christmas??? Or do parents clear out after Christmas and sell old toys and unwanted presents??? When would be the bet time to have more items on sale?

What s your opinion of experience with this.

Thanks

Used or new? Presume used from your post?

Cheaper after Cmas - lots of people selling in January and not many buyers as less cash post Cmas.

If you're looking for used, then start looking now. New, if you shop at Tesco then they have their voucher exchange to double up on Toys at the moment, so lego is effectively half price. (Lego advent calendar for a tenner, bargain).

    Plus the January sales.

I'm looking to buy a new laptop but it's been recommended on my budget to wait until after Christmas as the discounts will be much better. And obviously I might get a bit more money for Christmas so I might have more to spend.

I would imagine the same would go for the OP :), minus the extra money part.

Thanks 4 your advice. Yes .. There will be less buyers as people have less money. So I'll wait till then. Thanks

A good tip would be just before, ie 23rd, 24th and even 25th December. Very few people buy much then so if there is any listed you might pick up a bargain.

If you've got time it's worth looking at some that are over priced, you can watch the seller and if they don't get the high price they may end up lowering it later on.

Yes that is a great time. I have put a reminder on my calendar to do this. Cheers. :T
