Great tip for cleaning garden furniture!

We have a white plastic garden poatio set, you know the one, round table, 4 chairs. I was contemplating throwing it away as scrubbing with washing up liquid and then jeyes fluid did nothig more than make it look slightly less dirty. I then tried MAGIC ERASER and wow, what a godsend. My patio table is now gleaming and looks even better than when we bought it brand new. Admittedly, you have to use quite a bit as the stuff disintergrates as your cleaning it, but much cheaper than buying a new patio set! Will have to get to work on the chairs later, I'm knackered!

Excellent! Going to go right now and start on mine.
    Well ....... Maybe later ;)
A friend is someone who overlooks your broken fence and admires the flowers in your garden.
  • A pressure washer does a good job of cleaning off the oxidised (I'm assuming that's what it is) coating you get on the plastic. Be warned though, that it's a very wet job. Especially if you are the person holding onto the furniture to stop it getting away.

I think we got it from Woolworths or perhaps a DIY shop. It's made by JML. Great stuff, works on pretty much everything. Why I didn't think to use it on the fridge when I cleaned it out the other day, I have no idea!

Another good product for cleaning plastic patio furniture is 'Stardrops'. There are many threads devoted to it over on the OS board ;)

We wash over our plastic garden furniture with a washing up liquid/bleach mix. Let it soak then blast off with a pressure washer - good as new and no scrubbing!
