AVG out of date !!!

Ever since the new update was available since getting it I have been out of date !! I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 x. I have XP and my clock is upto date Can anyone tell me what I am doin wrong ?

Just noticed the date on the control center box says its the 6th any ideas how I can change this will be greatly received0

I assume that you have installed the version from http://free.grisoft.com/doc/avg-anti-virus-free/lng/us/tpl/v5 and not just one you downloaded some time ago and have only just got round to installing it.If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

This seems to be a common problem with AVG. I had to reinstall AVG on someones computer 3 times as it kept stop working.
tried all the reinstall, updates, add/remove but it would work then a couple days later stop working.
In the end I removed it and istalled Avast.0 -
i had some problems with my firewall, i uninstalled it and reinstalled it. somehow that affected avg. i reinstalled avg and it works perfectly now0

avg update seems ok to me atm.
although avg would refuse to update after i installed it. i tried the update the following morning and it worked fine0
