Especially when it is done by someone who may have no experience of the medical condition that an interviewee has.
Interview, yes
Medical.no
lol.. yes... I use the term medical very loosely... the reality is it's an interview using a piece of software by someone who is probably a very good typist and 'trained disability analyst'."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0 -
Everyone gets a phonecall.
Not everyone has their phone number recorded correctly, in which case there would be a letter sent saying your phone number is wrong. Please call us.
The phonecall is nothing more than what is already in the first letter. and you can ask questions for more detail. But there is no more detail to be given other than it will happen, it will happen to everyone eventually, it's just that now it your turn. How to complete the ESA50 (advice already given on this thread).
If you want to head them off at the pass just phone any ESA BC number (or perhaps there is a number at the top of that letter you got) and say you want to check they got your correct phone number. They may then say do you want to go through the information now?.

Since the companion is a totally unknown person its debatable whether they can be of any use what so ever to the claimant, they could even be harmful to the claimant since their charicter/disposition etc. is unknow.
Taking a friend or family member etc. I can understand but not a stranger who hasnt got a clue about you or your health.0 -

They probably won't be much practical use except for being a potential deterrent to inaccuracy. But having someone go it would appear is in her case going to be a useful emotional support... certainly judging from what you picked up on. As for harmful.. I would hope not if they're a care worker."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0
