Nappy Wrappers any good???

Yes I know that I can use a bucket with a lid.. which I do have and used with previous baby.. But I am wondering if anyone found those nappy wrappers any good. I am able to get one for free you see.http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B000MAKS1O/sr=1-2/qid=1176638735/ref=sr_1_2/203-0541760-2637535?ie=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=42854041&mcb=core

  • I recently purchased one from toys r us at the same baragin price of 14.99!!
But the only reason I bought it was because it was on offer. There was no way i would ever pay 30.00 for it!!
My baby is due in july so I havent started using it , but some of my friends have it and they thing its great.
I think it will be great for me when baby is a newborn and i am changing nappys at night and cant be bothered to go all the way to the kitchen.
But I think during the day I will just dump them in the bin!!
Let me know how you get on if you purchase it!!

I had one with my first baby, but didn't like it.

The cartridges were expensive, and the hole to push the nappies in was quite small. You had to roll the nappy up tight to get it in, and if it was a really full one, poo squished out over your hand - yuk!

I found it easier with nappy sacks and a plastic bin.
Here I go again on my own....
  • ive got one as i got it for free too but use it upstairs in bathroom.the fact that its got a lid keeps the smell in (till you open it that is) .your meant to turn the top once to twist the inner bag and seal the nappy in and then twist twice to cut it before emptying although this doesnt work and by the time youve twisted it once it seems to half cut it so that when you do empty it the nappys fall out on the floor.a way round this is to just twist it manually before you shut the lid and this seems to work.you may as well get one if its free but i certainly wouldnt pay for one.you can always use it as a bathroom bin too, lol!

I had one and used it all the time. I think it depends upon where your main bin is; ours was outside quite a hike from the bedroom so it was a blessing really. Our little kitchen bin would never have coped...

i have one and it's great. i empty it every 2 days and it means i don't have nappies in the kitchen bin smelling the house out.
i did buy it half price though.

I did mean to add that I also used nappy sacks for the really soiled nappies so they were wrapped then put in the nappy bin. I never had any trouble using it - maybe as DH emptied it not me
