I've seen 86 Mere Road, Erdington sold in September 19th 2012
I can't see any info of the house i.e. no. of rooms, or pictures and this would be really useful to me as it's on my road and I am renovating my property for resale
Can anyone find a history of this house online with these details?
http://www.zoopla.co.uk/property/86-mere-road/erdington/birmingham/b23-7ll/503635
It's not even got a clickable link on Rightmove just the sale date and price
thanks in advance

I cant think of anything worse than be the new owner of the property and stumble across your thread!!!
I understand your interest is purely aimed around the layout of the property and to see what they have done inside to achieve the price, but why dont you just go and knock on the door and introduce yourself....frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
why not?
most propertys that have sold have the details of the photos and sometimes layout online.
Yes I just want to see what they have done with the place to acheive the price. But it'd be a bit odd to knock on the door down the other end of the road and ask to have a look around their house lol.0 -
I guess you've looked at the 'current values' tab for the whole street on Zoopla and/or navigated a few houses either side on Streetview? I have (such a saddo?) and I'd bet money that its identical to the house, 2 doors to the right - Number 90 - which is 'Terraced, Freehold, 3 Beds, 1 Baths... Last sale: £139,000 Sale date: 4th Mar 2008'... current estimated value under £120k. So even if you gold-plate your taps you'll be lucky to bust that price-ceiling. Especially as the one the other side, number 84, failed to sell when last up at £115k in early 2011!
Spooky how intrusive this inter-web thing is, eh? No secrets any more...
But what's wrong with knocking on doors? I was touched when, having just renovated my 1st little terraced house in Brixton in the 1970's , I was approached by an old Jamaican guy who'd lived there when he migrated in the '50's; fascinating social history as we toured what had then been a multi-occupied home to about four families!0 -
I don't trust the current values on Zoopla anyway to be honest. When I updated my one it reckons its only worth £100k when I know from the market that it'd be worth £110-£120k
120 sold for £120k in Jan 12
31 sold for £120k in Feb 12
86 sold for £125k in Sept 12
84 is a semi with a proper front garden i.e space for a driveway and 86 an end terrace. As 84 sits further back it will be a smaller house.
No idea why it didn't sell, could have been removed off the market for personal reasons or could have been a dive inside and be overpriced.
I'm aiming for £120k as mine is similar to 31 (it's no 23) but much bigger downstairs and they haven't exactly got a nice bathroom or big kitchen.
