Morning all
I've been absent all week as the Family Mooomin have been in town, so it's been a whirlwind of shopping and eating. I am NOT looking forward to Fat Club today
Things have gone a little backwards money-wise as Papa Mooo has a big estate car which meant I could finally buy the desk I've been coveting from IKEA without paying their extortionate delivery charges. So, here's where we are....
Credit card balance: £147.42
Available to repay it: £25.54
A bit of a shortfall there then
Purse - £24.01
Spends/food - £85.79
Bills - £530.36
There's only about £360 of bills left to debit this month, so I can take some money from this account to cover the credit card balance if I **have** to, but I would like to find at least half of it from budgeteering or selling things.
Potential setbacks this week include a busy social life!! I'm meeting one of my lovely friends (who I met on MSE originally) for lunch today and have a coffee date planned tomorrow with a friend I haven't seen for a few weeks. On Wednesday I have dinner out with some old colleagues. Realistically I should manage all this for £40 or less, but we'll see how it goes...
Hope you are all having a lovely week0 -
Spendy Moomin!
Hope you are having fun. And I love it when an estate car comes to visit!

I've been enjoying mine anyway
I had a lovely lunch on Saturday and lovely tea on Sunday. I was meant to be going to the cinema on Sunday as well but it turned out that my cinema pass has expired. I want to renew it, but it's £178 for the year which I just don't want to spend right now. I could buy it for £14.99 per month which would just be another bill. I'm conflicted about this one! I'm going to see how money looks next month - I don't have council tax to pay and have been budgeting on a four week month (and March has five Fridays) so have a free week too.
Currently things are:
Purse - mainly moths
Spends/food - £76.42
Bills - £499
Credit card balance - £156.79
There to pay it - £34.91
Outstanding balance - £121.88
I should be able to add another £20-£30 to the credit card on Friday when I get paid. We do need to buy a couple of things for the cats too though - a new litter tray is becoming a high priority so that'll be done this week. Hopefully it won't be too expensive....

I'd be surprised if a litter tray cost more than £2-3 from a supermarket or want about a £1 shop? Our cat has decided that pooping next to the tray is far better. Silver lining is our litter is lasting ages the downside is that it's pretty horrible.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010

One of our cats does that too
The one we got from Pets at Home last time is a tenner, which isn't awful and it's a pretty good tray - there's two cats so it has to be fairly large. I've seen some smaller ones in Tesco but they just aren't practical for our little monsters

I have £335 in bills due off before the end of the month, which are definitely covered, so on Friday I'm only going to transfer £49.54 to the bills account as I'm only getting paid £149.54 due to having taken time off. Although I do accrue holiday pay, I hadn't worked enough hours to get the days off fully covered. Yay for temping
That'll leave me £100 for the week for food, bills and any social things (nothing planned) as well as to put some petrol in the car.
I'm renewing my cinema pass, but will have to do it as a monthly direct debit for now as I don't want to pay for it in one lump and take money from my savings. We're already due money for roof repairs which will have to come from there...:eek:0
