  • Wandered back to your SOA on here, it is a "real world" one and very similar to mine that the OR accepted, the CCCS ones are a bit "conservative" put on your SOA for BR what you pay out, have evidence of this and an explanation of any figures, some things are not allowed, ie saving for presents so you need to be able to "rob peter to pay paul" with other things on your SOA, ie cut your own hair to buy a present! BR is a time to focus on what is important in life and budgeting often for the first time in life..:)

Thank you for taking the time and having a look. I have budgeted for the last few years as credit has not been an easy option (other than Wonga) but it isnt realistic I have had to miss payments to ensure there is dinner on the table. then I behind and try to make it up the next month etc etc.A couple of year ago I lived off soup I made from the left over veg from when i worked in a kitchen!

The one thing that I am looking forward to with being a bankrupt is having a realistic budget. That the money in my bank will get me through until the end of the month without wondering what I can not pay or sell to ensure my children have everything and food.

Going back to CCCS, out of interest I did their online calculator thing just to see if BR was what they would recommend, despite already having done it and what they were saying I should live on there is no way I could. I assumed that was because I use ready prepared foods very often when my depression is bad and they are dear, a good chunk of my DLA gets used that way but the calculator refuses to adjust for things like that. But sounds like the system isn't generous then!

Pippa, I cook from scratch most days and even using smart pirice passata and cheaper mince I wouldnt be able to feed my two children for what the recommend

  • CCCS are known for using the lowest end of the guideline figures so dont pay too much attention to them x
  • I completely agree Anondebtadvisor the official insolvancy service guidelines on outgoings allow much more than CCCS do.

yes i have seen the insolvancy service ones all of which i am around and about their guidelines maybe over on a couple but under on a few. what i was worried over if they feel that i should be living within these peramiters would they not advise me to go bankrupt?

after all these years of thinking it is the best thing for me to do then to have someone tell me it isnt after i have lifted my head from the ground would be heartbreaking.
