What are your Christmas colours?

I usually use a colour theme on the tree, got a mix of red, purple, blue, silver baubles and will pick one or two colours. Maybe purple and blue this year. We also collect tree decs when we travel, so as we'll as the coordinated decs there will be odd ones like a New York stocking, Mexican hat etc. I can't get tinsel to look good on the tree but often drape it other places eg mantel piece, top of bookcase...
Last year we were midway through kitchen renovations at Christmas, our fridge and washing machine were in our living rooms and no decs at all! Looking forward to this year

We started off with red and gold, and stayed with it for many years until we redecorated last year and changed to brown and gold.
Redecorated again this year and trying to decide if the gold will stay or wether to change to purple :undecided.0 -

Do you buy new decorations every year?0 -
When I moved into my first home I had red and gold. When my hubby and I got together he asked to change the colours to blue and silver. This has been the theme ever since.
We have a pre lit tree which has blue lights. Looks lovely xLucylema x :j0 -
We've had blue and silver for a few years, but I've "inherited" some wooden tree ornaments in mostly reds so this year we are going Scandinavian in the red and white style. I've started making some bits, bought some candy canes and any other matching bargains I can find. Will be much more fun for the kiddies.Bossymoo

Silver, turquoise, purple and pink with plain white lights.
In the porch we have a smaller tree with gold, burgundy and green. Again white lights.0 -
Our main tree has been red & gold for past two years, however we have already decided this will be the last one, next year dh & kids want a blue/purple & silver theme. dd's each have a mini tree in their bedroom, eldest has a white tree with red & black decs for this year(shes 12, apparently its cool), and youngest is sticking with her pink tree with silver & purple decs! I love the traditional red & gold, and all my xmas day dinner table decs & accessories match, having built them up over the years, however i suppose it will be fun to start again with a new theme! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0
