Transferred from bt when I took them to the Ombudsman. Was awarded money which bt kept (another blog!) Moved to sky. Package costs rising out of control so have cancelled tv because will not down grade me. Now trying to switch home line rental but Primus says I have to reconnect to bt. How do I get passed this. All I want is cheap landline rental to service my disability alarm.
Can anyone advise please?

If you are on a Sky LLU line then need to do a 'return to donor' to take your line back to the BT network first. This is free, but requires a 12m line rental contract with BT.
Since Primus is just a BT resller, they should be able to do this direct, but being Primus...No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Primus used to do this for a fee - around £70. Not sure whether they still do.
If you rely on the line for your disability alarm, primus may not be the best choice - there are lots of bad reviews on this site for primus and their customer services.0 -
If you are disabled and qualify, and make no (or few) outgoing cals, BT Basic is the obvious choice for cheap line rental. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
