dvd rip software

i want to rip a film off my dvd. the dvd was recorded off a dvd recorder so it's not protected. what is the best software to use?

I like AVS Video Tools (http://www.avsmedia.com/) you have to register it (about £25) if you want to avoid having the ripped video having a watermark in it. It allows conversion of video file types, as well as ripping all or a portion of video.0

To rip DVDs use DVD Shrink and save to an .iso, to burn them use DVD Decrypter. Both are freeware programs.0
