  • No they weren't. Children shouldn't be dressed in frightening outfits and knocking on doors in the dark at night. You don't know what you are going to find. (an old lady with a heart problem, a peodophile, a person recently bereived, a killer, a rapist, a practical joker who likes to !!!! in pots and pour them over uninvited guests, you name it...) You don't know.. and trust me, there is one of these on every street! Don't believe me? You will.. once you've lived a bit longer.. one would hope.

On the whole, people should be left to enjoy their homes in peace. I don't agree with trick or treating.. I mind my own business in my own house.. and I pay the mortgage for the priviilage of being left alone.

I DO NOT go around schools with bags of sweets offering them out.

These two are NOT equally daft statements.. and if you think they are.. then more fool you.
sorry i must say that i take my children trick a treating and they enjoy it we only go to the houses that have halloween decorations and i stand with them yes i also pay a mortgage but at halloween a well known tradition it is up to me as to wheather i open the door or not i put up deco as to state i am happy to have trick or treaters and i think if a parent takes their child trick a treating is up to one selves we know what happens we hear things on the news but we dont have to presume that everybody is like that. i wouldnt ever expect someone to lay traps in their garden or even joke about it as this is bang out of order. i am a newbie but a lurker for a long time n i miss people and the daily chat n news of people about themselves and i have gradually noticed that oldies ard dropping like flies:mad:rant over

I am a long time lurker but a complete newbie, I have been following the last few threads and have finally caved and come out of lurker-dom. You all seem like a friendly bunch and I hope you don't mind adding another one to your group.

Thank you. Any mathematician going to post what each box works out as please? :)

    APG for the chocs alone = £14 - £6.28 (£6.98 less 10%) = £7.72

But since you pay £10 for these and a trigger you effectively end up paying just £2.28 for 2 boxes of Fingers and whatever your trigger item is

    76p a box
