good morning everyone:). been told by DS1 that i have to go to T's today to get bread for packed lunches as he doesn't want school dinners again
Morning!, dont know about anyone else but I really begrudge the £30/£40 a week it costs for dinner money for my two. I can feed us all for a week for a lot less. Its another reason I like school holidaysIf it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:0 -

This will annoy you even more it annoys me i work in school kitchen on school dinners and unless its altered the dinners have to cost 50p each to make
If our cook goes over on her costings she gets told off
All the food used now is Organic which is dearest but its better than the carp used before.
Will find out exact price per meal on Monday.
Is it £3 pounds per day now per childs meal ?
Got to go now across to mums0 -
Hi all, the Tesco petrol promo has alerted me to this thread! I hope you don't mind me joining in. No Asda near me unfortunately, so I'm limited to Tesco info. I'm waiting for a pricecheck on Andrex and Robinsons, when/if it comes back I intend to use it for some cheese (Cathedral City/Lake Dstrict) to get another petrol voucher. I'm also not sure whether to buy in 2's, 3's (or even 4's to get 2 petrol vouchers in one transaction), 2 sounds like the safest bet (with fillers) unless anyone knows different? I will post results when I get them.0

Our school dinners are £2.10. My daughter has a pack up which is loads cheaper, better food and I know what she's eating!0 -

If only, they are almost 16 and 18 so sandwiches is not the 'done thing'. They both did at primary school and occasionally in the summer DS2 will so he can play footy on the school field for longer. Bless him though, last year I gave him his dinner money and he said I dont need any this week mum, asked him how much he had on his dinner account and he said over £60:eek:. He only has £15 a week and was managing to save money. Taught him well.;)If it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:0
