Good afternoon. I have just spent all day wrapping every single present I can find. I am sure there are one or two hiding, but hopefully they will turn up before Christmas!

I make mine with cheesy shortcrust pastry, I use Red Leicester and AT LEAST double the quantity of cheese, meaning I use the same amount of cheese as I do flour. Little bit of mustart and a whipped egg yolk, roll out, !!!!! so they don't rise too much, and bake till done. Then attempt to get into the freezer before they've all gone!! Sorry, no idea how long they keep for :rotfl::rotfl:

It is really lovely to come on here after a long day and relax in the warmth of everybody's company.

I tried the shortcrust pastry and everyone said they preferred the flakey ones :)

I have wrapped all mine apart from the works Secret Santa but I've not finished that yet, I'm struggling

Afternoon all. A basic question from myself to start if I may. I put my Te5co reciept in at around 10pm last night, when will I get the email with my price porkie about??? Seems to be taking ages, when I used to do them in the good old DTD days, I was sure they were usually in in time for the next days shop/raid.

  • Could I of done anything different ???
Hello, By doing it all in one shop you forced it all to compare to Sains. You would have maybe had a bigger return if you had done two shops instead of one, making sure you had enough 10p fillers for both to compare. Then the fairy liquid shop would have compared to Tesco, and the Milk tray shop to Sains for maximum APGs, but a lot more faffing about, and you would need to do the maths to see how much difference it would have made. And maybe you had other shopping and used a 5.00 off 40.00 voucher, in which case you probably did the right thing? Complicated isn't it! Quite a good APG anyway!:o

Hi, I make it with bread dough as I find puff pastry can be a bit greasy. But then I fold and roll in butter and then cheese slices, (not greasy at all, that!) rollout dough and cut into strips, twist and then rise for half an hour before baking. Ohhh I may have to make some tomorrow now!
