I've just settled down for an early dinner (no time for lunch) and a glass of vino (thank you, Mr T).

I'm not known for sudden outbursts of sentimentality, but I do make the odd exception.
This thread is part of my day to day life, I don't post a lot because I'm usually busy, but I do try to read everything when I get the chance to catch up at regular periods throughout the day. You are lovely people and I am very happy that the thread has returned to the comfy, helpful, fluffy place it has been since I started following it in the heady days of price check dtd.

Big hugs, and now I return to my pie and chips :heart2:

Emily Rachel - I know some have used apg in tesco and some not. Has this mainly been with over £40 spends? Anyone tried for less?

I have mislaid my last £5 off asda voucher, and yesterday's pp results have come in to my now locked email accout:o but may be able to use apg on my next shop - it will make up for lost price promises - I don't need any more choccy! It will prob be for £20 ish shop - have you tried it ..Thanks
    .
I get the feeling no problem in NI using Apgs in T, and Pattylabelle said no probs if under 40.00 using one or more 5.00 off too - she said they treat them as fivers over there! Less sucessful for apgs in my part of East Sussex. :(I have asked 3 times and been refused each time I have tried to spend an APG in T, and that was only for shops over 40.00. 5 off 40.00 worked fine. I can understand why, they say no to APG's, but suppose it depends totally on your SA./supervisor / shop.
I am not young enough to know everything.

As if we didn't already know ;) :rotfl: :rotfl: I mentioned you to the Rescue lady at kennels today and her first reaction was to be careful with 2 bothers together, but then she said that, as they had been brought up separately, they probably wouldn't realise they are brothers now and shouldn't be a problem ;)

  • Good afternoon. I have just spent all day wrapping every single present I can find. I am sure there are one or two hiding, but hopefully they will turn up before Christmas!

I just make puff pastry roll it out (use ready made if you cant make pastry), add a large pinch cayenne pepper and around 2 small handfuls of extra mature cheddar then i fold and roll again 4 times, cut into straws and sprinkle with red Leicester and parmesan, bake until golden :)

If you need exact recipe I'm sure google will provide lol I'm a throw it all in kinda cook.

I make mine with cheesy shortcrust pastry, I use Red Leicester and AT LEAST double the quantity of cheese, meaning I use the same amount of cheese as I do flour. Little bit of mustart and a whipped egg yolk, roll out, !!!!! so they don't rise too much, and bake till done. Then attempt to get into the freezer before they've all gone!! Sorry, no idea how long they keep for :rotfl::rotfl:

It is really lovely to come on here after a long day and relax in the warmth of everybody's company.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
