Have been skim reading - really should be out and gone but not motivated enough yet :rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway - been thinking about Only Fools and Horses - my favourite episodes are A Touch of Glass (chandelier) and Yuppy Love (Del falls through bar), how he ever managed to just fall like that I do not know, and I have heard it was not scripted!

I need your opinions on something please...

I was SUPERTROUTED last night in A's, :mad: Quite late at night so not many staff, when I went to pay with my APG man on the till said to me " I don't know if we can take this ", I said " yes you do they are Mr A's own vouchers from Mr A's website ".

Man on till "Well we've had some fraudulent ones lately :eek: so I just need to check with manager."
Me " Ok no probs" I know they may be of questionable origin but they are valid and correct and match the receipts so shouldn't be a problem.

Man comes back "I've got bad news I'm afraid, we can't take these - the APG machine has got a glitch :eek: (his exact words) and it's calculating the vouchers wrong so we can't take it. What it's doing is not seeing this box of choc on the receipt and is working it out at the full price of these boxes and giving too much voucher, we can't take them.":eek::eek::eek: Way too accurate for my liking!

Now he didn't say if it was Head Office that had told him not to take them or his manager but to me that sounds very much like an over eager manager who has discovered what's going on from this very site!

The use of the word glitch had me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm sure if this has happened to anyone else it would have been mentioned so I'm sure it's store specific (PM me S.Wales peeps & I will name and shame,don't want to put it on here. COT you might want to know...)

Any thoughts peeps?

I used an apg for chocs last night and she didnt even look at the purchases, she also took the £3 off ariel for the 11 box (so free)......must be that store, me thinks!

Sounds as if the manager was making up his own rules. If an APG is produced then I would have thought that they would have to accept it. I would call head office and explain what happened.
I have had no problems with stores...maybe you were unlucky with that manager...Hope HO sends you a nice gift card...x

I did this last week and was fine. I made sure I picked up both exactly the same and I said I presumed it was only on this DVD. I got DTD with a smile and I then exchanged it to another dvd for same value x

I did not exchange on the same day and was with a different sa x

That's what I thought too, they are obviously aware of it but then they were aware of the 32p W4ity's epic egstravaganza (sp?) and had to take them then too...
