My halogen oven suddenly stopped working today it wont heat up I'll be lost without it but when I get a new one I'll be getting one with a hinged lid its a nightmare having to put the lid on a plate when I want to fiddle with the food

And the camera my niece gave me has also given up the ghost :(

Wonder what the third thing will be

I have had 5 halogen ovens altogether as they just don't last. Each time I have had to return with the year, sometimes after 6 months, get a refund and reorder. This time I have tried a different maker and they gave me an extra bulb - that says to me that bulb not expected to last the year ;) My last one had the hinged lid and it was fantastic, but current hasn't :( It is terrible to be without a halogen when you are used to using one ................. especially as we got rid of our cooker 2 years ago, as just using halogen, microwave and 2 ring hob

i really do hope you are not trying to take the P

I have just had a rather upsetting phone call which involved someone not being honest and this person has got away with it. This has upset me somewhat and I posted that comment before I had properly caught up on this mornings proceedings.

So once again, i sincerely hope that you are not taking the P :)

hi i know how you feel sometimes liars get away with anything my ds and his wife are going through hell because of liars
however bad you can imagine things could be i can guarentee they are a lot worse and there is nothing we can do..

seems the bad feelings are scarying people who need support away it seems so sad:(
  • Still the unpleasant remarks continue. In our everyday lives, we come across people we dislike for various reasons. The same happens on here. Though in our lives I doubt any of us go out of our way to be unpleasant to them, we just either ignore them or are civil to them. Why can’t people do the same here? I have no one on my ignore list. I just choose to NOT respond to certain posts. Some comments I would rather not dignify by commenting back. I truly believe that there are posters who do want to ruin this thread but if there is a comment that you don’t like or offends you, report it, totally ignore it or if you feel you cannot do that put the person on ignore. By commenting on the post you are playing right into their hands and giving the poster the attention they are so desperately craving and needing and they will believe they have won. If you report the post, do not state that you have reported it as again you are giving the poster attention. Do not give them attention in any shape or form and they will get fed up when they can see that their plan is not working. As I said yesterday is the poster really worth your time and energy to respond. I doubt they are.

We have to think there are many reading this thread who are going through a tough time, some have said it, others probably feel too uncomfortable to post what they are going through. I don’t think it is fair to them that when they come here they have to read such remarks. They are going through a hard enough time and many would come here to ‘escape’ or for moral support not to see such posts.
