    Afternoon everyone

It was my 25th wedding anniversary yesterday. Yesterday afternoon I was a bit shocked when one of these was delivered
    th_6b5a3e6e988bf4bcd1b3ed9c490af458_zpsd1e0aa3c.jpg

Now we have needed a new fridge freezer for ages and this one is lovely and will go wonderfully in the new kitchen when it's finished. But I was rather dismayed to discover that this was my anniversary pressie:(. My OH has always been the practical type....I've had a dishwasher, coffee maker, dyson and other practical gifts over the years and I've just gotten used to it but I had thought that as it was a special anniversary he might buy me something a bit more personal or special. Needless to say I spent the rest of the day in a bit if a strop not helped by him commenting that he thought that it was a great idea because it was silver and appropriate for a silver wedding pressie:mad:

Well anyway I'd gotten over it by this morning. Went out to do a few things this morning then went to pick OH from hospital at lunch time. Just after we got home there was a knock at the door, It was a man from a car dealership delivering a brand new shiny one of these

So guess how stoopid and selfish and ungrateful I feel now?:o. Luckily OH just thinks he's funny (nice to see he still has a sense of humour:cool:)

New car for me has been on the cards for ages. the one I have now is practically falling apart but With all the goings on I haven't a chance to sort a new one out. So I have had a harsh lesson about being ungrateful and am off now to find me knee pads for all the grovelling I'm going to be doing.

    Sorry for the long post:o
is the car silver as well, i bet your over the moon.:)

Thats the way I'm going , the missus will take them Monday.

I'm sorry that anyone got upset when I asked, its a strange indictment of society that the thought of someone giving sweets to children elicits such horrid thoughts in peoples minds.
When I grew up I can remember lots of people giving sweets to kids, just nice people.
I remember an old bloke where we live now (he died about ten years ago) he always had a sweet tin and if anyone passed he always wanted a chat and out came the sweet tin, or if it was me the whisky bottle ! I'd love to see out my remaining years visiting the park with my wife, maybe taking a bit of bread for the ducks and a bag of chocs for the kids, I suppose we'll stick to feeding the ducks, how sad.

Just a thought, I am using my excess of sweets in Operation Christmas Child, it is where you make up a shoebox for a boy or a girl, you can put in sweets but not chocolate here is the link if you or anyone else is interested http://www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk/what-to-pack
