Indeed it is sad that the innocence of being kind has been taken away from us and our first thought is child protection. I remember being able to go out playing quite a way from home on my bike or out in the local area and noone thought more about it - now I worry if my kids play on the front garden
. I am not sure whther it is more dangerous or just that with media we are more aware of it.

When I was a young girl, aged between 8 and 12, my brother and I along with school friends used to spend all day out playing. Often take a picnic lunch as had to be home for tea.
During summer hols, we would be down on the beach almost every day as we lived on the coast. Our family home looked out over the beach, such happy days.
My dad loved children and used to always look in prams and pushchairs and 'babble' to the babies, tickling under their chin. He would not have liked to be alive to witness what is going on these days. There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -

Been busy looking for one of my cats as she has been missing since Tues night
Oh no, too many missing cats lately, hope she is back soon curled up in her favourite place. A timely reminder to ask everyone to have their pets microchipped in case they go missing and to remember to change your address on the register when you move0 -

I was also checking if I did it online then there might be a code around, but can not find a valid one, so think this option might be best.
I tried online code with mine last year but would not take it. In store be good if u got apg to use this week you get a t 5/40 spit for next week, if you have no wys then try eBay or wombling especially t giving them out this week u may be able womble few....SIMPLES!0 -

Sorry I didn't report back from the vets earlier, but called into Asda afterwards and got Thorntons Christmas with 2 x Fingers Gold Tin - results due at 12.24 - and then been talking on phone and to neighbour
Receptionist at the vets slipped me in first before booked appointments as she knows meVet checked Molly over and when she put pressure on Molly's throat (trachia ??) Molly started coughing very hoarsely. Her temperature was up too. Vet explained that her trachia was badly inflamed with the cough, so she gave her an anti-inflamatory injection and gave me some antibiotics to give her with food, and to go back next Friday for a re-check. She said that the anti-inflammatory should ease the inflamation quite quickly but it would take a day or too for the antibiotics to work on the infection
They have both had a little to eat and the cough is not stopping Molly from barking at people outside  though it sets her off coughing again. Just going to try to get her to take her half tablet now, so that might be fun. Thanks for asking after her guysMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

I'm sorry that anyone got upset when I asked, its a strange indictment of society that the thought of someone giving sweets to children elicits such horrid thoughts in peoples minds.
When I grew up I can remember lots of people giving sweets to kids, just nice people.
I remember an old bloke where we live now (he died about ten years ago) he always had a sweet tin and if anyone passed he always wanted a chat and out came the sweet tin, or if it was me the whisky bottle ! I'd love to see out my remaining years visiting the park with my wife, maybe taking a bit of bread for the ducks and a bag of chocs for the kids, I suppose we'll stick to feeding the ducks, how sad.
Didn't upset mesuppose some just like to make a drama out of nothing
We can see it from your point of view ( you have to buy to make up your 8 items) but people who don't know this might think its a bit weird that you bought these just to give to kids. The stranger danger stuff is always in parents minds & it is sad that some people always think the worst of someone just being kind. I have read a while back that some men would have to think about helping out a lost child as they are scared what they will be accused of0 -

Am I imagining that or did it happen? And, is it likely to happen this year? I spoke to a nice man at Clubcard the other day and he just said he'd not heard anything yet.
I did x4 last year. I see on website they saying get them early to avoid disappointment, I think this is ruse, hope they do x4 as been saving for 4k omega. If not I change them for the sales, try get discount when paying too, however some shops won't do this so I buy something take it back, put money on giftcard then haggle.....SIMPLES!0 -
