No sound on web pages!

I still have no sound on youtube and other web pages. I can listen to mp3's played through WMP/Winamp, and I get sound when I play Battlefield2 online.
Any site I go to like youtube I don't get any sound whatsoever. What am I missing?

Tried resetting IE but no joy, and re-installed adobe
flash a dozen times now and no joy there
