£750 Composite Doors

Hi

I have just been to a local double glazing firm in Cardiff today for a new front door, and they have a composite door on special offer for £750 fully fitted, fensa certs, yale locks etc

http://www.mpnwindows.com/offers.php

Has anyone had a composite door installed and what are your thoughts of them compared to PVC? Are they more secure and energy efficient? and is £750 a good deal?

Comments

  • Yes they are better than pvc doors both security wise and heat retention .We install Rockdoors which are slightly more than your offer
if you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction

we have just replaced a wooden door with composite...very impressed, total cost was a little more than your quote at £1200 fully fitted with magnum locks but its a much sturdier option than UPVC in my opinion.

I have just used the design a door option on their website putting in a similar one to the type we have and it has generated a price of £1446...

I guess you need to check the deal and see what doors are included in the special offer as you may be limited on a certain style etc to achieve the discounted special offer.

Have you searched on E Bay for composite doors

Measure your opening and then see what style/size is available

Got 2 doors for my daughter, one single door and frame, one front door with double glazed sidelight. Only the front door frame needed planing/adjusting to fit

Bought both doors brand new and paid less than £320 for both

Had to collect thse ourselves, but the saving was well worth the hassle

Fitted these myself, but any local joiner can fit these doors

Wow that's an amazing price on ebay, were the doors you had ok? I would need the expertise of someone to fit it though and remove the existing wooden frame and door.
