PC Freezes

Hi all,

My pc keeps freezing. Mostly using the internet.

The page turns white, the little 'e' internet explorer icon changes to a white box with blue border.

I then get the error message with the 'end now' or 'cancel' options.

I have McAfee security center courtesy of Sky, which I recently installed. That said I had these problems prior to McAfee and Sky so I'm dismissing them as the problem.

Any ideas?

What AV software were you using before McAfee?

Is that now completely uninstalled?

it is indeed. i removed using the add/remove programs section on control panel

i have just started a scan for viruses

Might be worth going throught the malware removal guide posts 1 to 4 as well.
