the mattress of our bed (which we paid nearly 900.00for 2 years ago)has collapsed and the company (Bensons) has admitted the fault but have said without the receipt they are unable to do anything and I cant find the invoice(they have sid they would replace it if I could provide invoice number) . They did tel lme that they could trace the invoice number and give it to me butthey have been unable to do this despite me providing them with the bank statement showing purchase sying ithas been archived is there anything I can do

I may be wrong, but I thought , in the case of faulty good, all thats requred is proof of purchase. Call local trading standards for the proper solution.0

A bank statement only shows that you purchased something from Bensons. It won't state what.
I'm afraid it's down to the consumer to provide proof purchase and not the retailer.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
Any decent stock system would be able to find your sales history if you gave your name at the time of purchase, which is likely with these sheds.
2 years is nothing - they wouldn't have deleted the history from that.
I would go back to another branch and sweet talk a sales person into looking you up on their epos system and ask them for your sales history....and then you have your invoice number.0
