Good evening all,
I was wondering if anyone knew (save me a phone call) were looking at getting ns&i childrens bonds for my 2 boys. what it is is my nan has decided to give them the money now rather than write it in her will they have £1000 each and we wanted to invest them in bonds my question is she has given them cheques can I use these to open the bonds online (send thm off or post office however it works) or do I need to have the money in my account before i go ahead and do the bonds?
or if anyone knows a better way to invest it please feel free to share. Many Thanks

If the cheques are drawn in favour of the children you won't be able to pay them into your account?

The rate is fixed for five years at 2.5% - not brilliant?0 -
Agree with xylophone - at those rates you might be better off with a Child ISA.
RSmile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
