p.s hope finance is not linked as they will credit checkDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

erm.. clearly a very judgmental comment without knowing whats happened. if it wasn't meant to be then it certainly hasn't read like thatC_Mababejive wrote: »Just dont bother paying your utilities,go bankrupt and the little old ladies who are sat freezing with their teeth chattering in winter for fear of turning the heating on , have a part of your debt apportioned to your bill.
Ducking debt? Over the last 12 months i've written to creditors asking them to accept a repayment schedule (although with hindsight it wasn't realistic) but they either reject or ignore. We can either let it envelope us either by choice or by simply being overwhelmed by it, or we can try and seize control of it and plot our return to stability.
Ducking debt and not taking responsibility will not help.
i've made quite reasonable F&F settlement offers to some smaller creditors... £150 for a £100 debt which was inflated to £500 in 10 weeks after fees... rejected with no counter offer... i'd consider that reasonable.
I'd hardly say I haven't taken responsibility - or at least tried to0 -
£150 for a £100 debt is very reasonable :rotfl:, but £100 for £500 would not be seen as so reasonable.NewUserHere wrote: »i've made quite reasonable F&F settlement offers to some smaller creditors... £150 for a £100 debt which was inflated to £500 in 10 weeks after fees... rejected with no counter offer... i'd consider that reasonable.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
