Epoxy paint and bitumen paint

Does anyone know what would happen if bitumen paint is painted over epoxy paint? I'm trying to solve a damp floor problem. Also, can a water-based adhesive for floor tiles be applied on top of bitumen paint? Many thanks!

i don't think bitumen would be any better than the epoxy paint -bitumen is way out of date these days , there are far better products around is it a cellar floor , if it is then unless you spend big bucks you're probably not going to solve it ,
this stuff can be painted over damp floors esp in cellars and will give you a waterproof membrane http://www.arcane-industries.co.uk/l1/p273-waterproof-tanking-for-basements-swimming-pools.html?gclid=COfY5MbQvbMCFaTMtAodakQAqQ0 -
Thanks for the reply. There is a patch of my floor where I had to remove the tiles and there is a layer of epoxy paint on it but it has been torn in places in the removal of the tiles. For such a small area I thought bitumen would be a much cheaper solution. But I need to know if it would be compatible with the epoxy and if I could then put water based adhesive on it for new tiles. Epoxy is v expensive as I will only use a very small amount.0
