have a DCP-330C0

I have the Brother DCP340CW model. I dont buy new cartridges for it. Instead I refill the cartridges with a refill kit that I bought containing 30ml each of black, cyan, blue and magenta ink. The pack came from Tesco's, and was from their value range. I paid £2.68 for it but note that the cost is nearer £5 at the moment. The pack comes with a syringe and and a drill bit and it is a simple job to refill the cartridge. The packs from Tesco contain either 3 black inks or black plus cyan, magenta and blue
I've just run out of black and so I have decided to buy 250ml of black and 100ml each of blue, yellow and magenta from svp.co.uk The colours are £1.56 per 100ml and the black is £3.68 for 250ml. There is postage on top but considering the job lot, including postage, came to £13.40, I'm happy enough. It hasn't arrived as yet as I ordered it only yesterday, but I've had an email today saying that it's on route.
I had a good look around on the net and I reckon I couldn't get this amount any cheaper.
Here's a link to the site/page:

Why bother with refills whn a full set only costs around £4.70 delivered by 1st class post. Look here http://www.inkemporium.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_DCP_340CW_46.html
Highly recommended.0 -

Highly recommended.
If you prefer to pay more for your cartridges, then that's fine by me.
Your cartridges calculate @ 5.875 pence per ml, whereas my ink calculates @ 2.436 pence per ml. You would need to spend £32.31 in order to obtain the same amount of ink in your cartridges.0 -
i have the same printer. i use www.ink.co.uk. i got the cheapest cartridges which i think were about 70p each, but im not too happy with the quality of the black so i think next time ill try the next one up, £1.17 each. Still very very cheap0

10 pack £20 (Think compatables have been working fine)
I use them as well, free delivery, excellent service and great product.:T0 -

Not many people want to faff about with refilling cartridges when compatibles are so cheap. A 10 pack of black are only around £8 at ink emporium (see previous link). Use them at home and work, never had a problem.0 -

anyone got any recommendations for black refill ink0

I have a Brother DCP 340 CW and I don't buy cartridges for it. Instead I buy bulk ink for it and I use a syringe to refill the cartridges and have done so since I bought the machine about 2 years ago.
I buy the ink from SVP in 100ml bottles, though they do bigger bottles. Here's a link to them:
http://www.svp.co.uk/technology/consumables/inkjet-cartridges/brother-inkjet-cartridge/bulk-ink-100ml-refill-bottles-ub-ebi-100mlm_black-ink-refill.html
I know it mentions "Epson" in the spiel, and it says "Epson" on the bottles that were delivered. I queried it at the time and they said it would be ok to use and it has been.
By the way, the syringe I use was acquired from a Tesco Value refill kit that I bought first off when it needed ink. I simply used the Tesco Value ink then kept the syringe and the little drill bit that Tesco supplied with the kit that enables you to make a hole in the top of the cartridges.
How dopey I am. I've just read back through this thread and noted that I've responded to it previously! However. I also note that the link I provided in earlier posts no longer works. The link on this post does, so it's not all in vain.0 -
Buytech.co.uk Excellent prices and ink is good too. I have a Brother MFC-820CW. I got 2 sets of four cartridges from Buytech for less than £8.00
I am not connected with this company, I used them after seeing recommendations on MSE and was delighted with price and quality.0
