Brother Cartridges?

Options
Shouldn't we have a sticky for Brother too given that they appear so often on MSE?

Anyway I need cartridges for a Brother DCP-340CW and the prices vary hugely across Ink Emporium, PrintCartridgeDirect and UKDVDR.

Can anyone offer an opinion on whether one has better quality than the others? Perhaps you've tried them yourself?

Thanks

Best place for Brother DCP-135C ink? Are compatibles ok for this printer?

There isn't a chip or whatever to stop compatibles being used?

    Many thanks.

I have found them very good and at the moment there are a couple of freebies when you order.

    Hope this helps.

I get mine from Ebay. Usually cost around £10 for a set of 4 high capacity with free postage from seller id choose-your-colour.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Gotta say I'm not a fan of ebay for Catridges, you never know how they've been stored.

I have the Brother DCP340CW model. I dont buy new cartridges for it. Instead I refill the cartridges with a refill kit that I bought containing 30ml each of black, cyan, blue and magenta ink. The pack came from Tesco's, and was from their value range. I paid £2.68 for it but note that the cost is nearer £5 at the moment. The pack comes with a syringe and and a drill bit and it is a simple job to refill the cartridge. The packs from Tesco contain either 3 black inks or black plus cyan, magenta and blue

I've just run out of black and so I have decided to buy 250ml of black and 100ml each of blue, yellow and magenta from svp.co.uk The colours are £1.56 per 100ml and the black is £3.68 for 250ml. There is postage on top but considering the job lot, including postage, came to £13.40, I'm happy enough. It hasn't arrived as yet as I ordered it only yesterday, but I've had an email today saying that it's on route.

I had a good look around on the net and I reckon I couldn't get this amount any cheaper.
